5 Healthy Iced Tea Recipes: Ideas You Need To Try At Home

When you make iced tea, you must think of a powdered juice that you just mix with water. You do not need to worry about its refined sugar because you can make this beverage healthier and more refreshing. Here are some healthy iced tea recipes that will quench your thirst without feeling guilty.

 

1. Lemon green tea

Here’s what you need:

  • Lemon
  • Honey
  • Green tea
  • Ice

Here’s what you are going to do:

1. Brew a green tea bag in a cup for 3 minutes. Put it in a refrigerator to cool down.
2. Use a half-sliced lemon and squeeze.
3. Take the green tea and pour it into a shaker.
4. Pour in the lemon juice.
5. Drizzle as much honey as you would like, add ice, and shake.
6. Serve chilled.

 

2. Strawberry green tea

Here is what you need:

  • Fresh strawberries
  • Red tea
  • Honey
  • Ice
  • Strawberry syrup (optional)

Here’s what you are going to do:

1. Boil water, then add red tea and let it steep for five minutes. Using a strainer, transfer the tea to a different container and let it sit to cool down, or put it in the refrigerator.

  • Assam tea or black tea

1. Boil water in a pot, add Assam tea, and let it steep for 5 minutes. Put it in the refrigerator to cool.
2. Slice mango into thin slices, put it in the bowl, and mash it until it is like a puree consistency. In a pan, put the mango puree and simmer on low heat for 2 minutes.

  • 4 calamansi
  • Red tea
  • Honey
  • Ice

Here’s what you are going to do:

1. Slice the calamansi into half, and squeeze the juice into a bowl.
2. Put water into a pan, and put red tea in it when the water reaches its boiling point. Steep the tea for 5 minutes. Strain the tea into a shaker.
3. Drizzle honey over the tea, and add the fresh calamansi extract. Add ice, then shake.
4. Pour into a glass and serve.

 

5. Citrus Iced tea

  • 2 ripe mandarins
  • Red tea
  • Honey
  • 1 slice of ripe pomelo
  • Ice

Here’s what you are going to do:

1. Boil water in a pan. Add the red tea and let it steep for 5 minutes. Strain the tea into a container, and put it in the fridge to cool down.
2. Slice ripe mandarins in half and extract their juice into a container.
3. Extract juice from pomelo.
4. Pour the tea and citrus juices into the shaker, and drizzle as much honey as you like.
5. Add ice and shake.
6. Pour iced tea into a glass or mason jar.
